Default Water Magic Help

Well, I can't find the Elementalist Directory anymore, so I was wondering if you guys could help out with my water magic for PvP.

First of all, I only have Factions and Prophecies.

My current build is:

Water Trident {E}
Ice Spear
Ice Spikes
Glyph of Lesser Energy
Hex Breaker
Conjure Frost
Water Attunemtn
Aura of Restoration

And please explain why use a skill instead of another.

Thanks alot~

Ice spear is bad. Even after the nerf, I think frozen burst is a little better than ice spikes. Just get in close and kite as best as you can. Since you have factions, you'll probably want to go with Shatterstone if you are pvping. It's the best option you have for damage. Ice trident is okay for dealing with runners and kiters, but you can find better uses for your elite slot. Hex breaker is okay, but unless you plan on RAing, I would drop it and let the monk worry about hexes.

Since you are playing a hydromancer, you should really focus on snaring because that is what you'd be best at.

Maelstrom is a good Water spell for AoD damage and the interupt. It's expensive though.

I might suggest throwing an earth ward or two in there. General utility is good.

Edit: PvP, duh, ignore he above statement. Maelstrom might still be usefull as an AoE interupt, but damage won't be as reliable.

[skill]Ice Spikes[/skill] is pretty horrible.

[skill]Deep Freeze[/skill] and [skill]Freezing Gust[/skill] (Although you can't get the latter :/) are better snares. Drop the conjure and bring [skill]Frozen Burst[/skill]

Also [skill]Blurred Vision[/skill] Ownzzzzz

[skill]Water Trident[/skill][skill]Glyph of Lesser Energy[/skill][skill]Deep Freeze[/skill][skill]Mantra of Concentration[/skill] (or hex breaker)[skill]Water Attunement[/skill][skill]Blurred Vision[/skill][skill]Drain Enchantment[/skill](or maybe shatter when running hex breaker)[skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

Water Trident is pretty good, just harder to use then Shatterstone.

Water ele in RA is meh, imo - I'd run bsurge with Glyph of Resto if I needed to in RA, but you don't have nightfall. :<

Because only this guy will read the thread. So next time someone will want a water magic build, he'll have to create another thread, which he will be the only one to read also, and so on.

So while I missed this part, he'll just won't use it and ignore my comment, while others may find it usefull.

"lrn2" not be a jerk and think 3 seconds before posting. "kthxbyebbqlol"

so again, as a self heal, I'd recommend restfull breeze, but since another guy will jump on the fact that it's a NF skill, I'd say stick with Weapon of warding and wielder's boon.
